Literature Circles - Roles

Please remember that, even if you are absent, you are responsible for completing the assigned work for the assigned date. 

You do not need to bring your novels on days when we are not doing Novel Study activities. 

Here are the details of the roles. I've had to upload them as photos due to the constraints of the blog software. 

Thursday, Sept. 24

Hi folks - just a note that this THURSDAY we will have the entire class as an independent work period. 

You may work on your Independent Novel Study or your class Novel Study (Gr. 11s). 

Please bring all of your necessary materials for a productive class. 

Animal Farm

Next week we will be starting our class novel study with a book called Animal Farm.

Independent Novel Study - Work Days

You will have one class this week to work on your independent novels study assignments.

Grade 10 - Friday, September 18

Grade 11 - Tuesday, September 15

Please plan accordingly by bringing your novel to class as well as any materials that you may need in order to complete your assignment(s).

FOR TUESDAY
1. please bring colouring stuff  (felts, pencil crayons, etc).

2. please think about a QUOTE or SONG LYRIC that you love, that inspires you, that makes you think, etc.

I know, I know. It's the first day of school and you already have homework. What a drag.

Anyway, here is your homework, due this Friday, September 11:

Bring an artifact (an object of some sort) that DEFINES YOU. 
This could be anything from a piece of toast to a piece of jewelry.  Be prepared to present your artifact and the meaning behind it in small groups. 

I'll be bringing an artifact of my own on Thursday to help you understand more about who I am.
